Pleated

Pleating has been our core business for more than fifty years.

The passion for what we consider as an art over the past few years has led us to combine these artisanal techniques with other ennoblement techniques such as laser, lamination, sublimation printing, dip dyeing and airbrushing.

Italpiega uses cardboard pleating craft techniques, combined with cutting-edge technology and several in-house modified machines, to create innovative and exclusive pleats.

Cardboard pleating

This ancient craft technique is the ultimate expression of pleating. This process is entirely handmade and carried out using cardboard moulds. No chemicals are used to finish the folds, only steam. Some of our moulds are very old, dating back to the 1980s, and are kept as a real treasure.

Accordion pleat

Accordion pleating, also called “Kristall”, is a technique that gives the fabric a strong 3D effect, creating deep and clear pleats. The company carries out this process through specific machinery that combines precision and creativity, and allows us to create peats from 3 to 10 mm.

Crumpling

We can manufacture countless types of creases, both manual and machine-made. We are committed to ensuring maximum flexibility and creative freedom, allowing clients to bring tailor-made solutions to life. Each process is carried out with painstaking attention and a handcrafted approach, ensuring flawless results to meet every need and desire.

Flat pleat

Our company specializes in flat pleating: an elegant and versatile process that gives fabrics a refined and modern look. With our numerous machines and specially modified equipment, we are able to make flat, wavy and irregular pleats of any size.
